We work with all the major brands including Whirlpool, Samsung, LG, GE, Frigidaire, Maytag, and others.

We handle all kinds of common problems. If your oven isn't heating evenly, the burner won't ignite, or your range isn’t responding at all, we’ve got you covered. Our technicians regularly repair issues like faulty igniters, broken bake and broil elements, worn-out thermostats, and malfunctioning control panels. If you're dealing with a gas range that clicks but doesn't light or an electric cooktop that won't turn on, we’ll figure it out and get it working again. We bring the right tools and parts to get most repairs done on the spot.

Each area in Pinellas County has its own appliance challenges. In Palm Harbor and Clearwater, we often see ignition problems due to high humidity. In Dunedin and Safety Harbor, we work on older appliances that may have outdated wiring or failing components. No matter where you are or what kind of stove or oven you own, we take the time to do the job right and make sure your appliance is safe and reliable.

At Pinnacle Appliance Repair, we believe in making things simple. That means arriving on time, treating your home with respect, and clearly explaining the issue and cost before we begin. If your oven, stove, or range is giving you problems, give us a call. We’re proud to be the local choice for reliable, honest appliance repair in Pinellas County and we’re always happy to help.

Range and Oven Tips

 1. Clean Spills Immediately After Cooking Spilled food and grease can damage burners, heating elements, and finishes if left too long. For glass cooktops or gas grates, use manufacturer-approved cleaners to avoid scratching or staining, especially on Samsung and LG ranges.

2. Inspect Burner Components for Wear Electric coil burners and gas igniters can wear out over time, leading to slow or uneven heating. If you're noticing inconsistent performance, Whirlpool and GE ranges often benefit from burner element or igniter replacements.

3. Check and Tighten Knobs and Controls Over time, range knobs and control panel buttons can loosen or stop working properly. Make sure they’re securely attached and replace any cracked or malfunctioning controls, particularly on Frigidaire and KitchenAid models.

4. Avoid Using Aluminum Foil on the Drip Pans or Oven Floor Covering the drip trays or oven floor with foil can trap heat and damage internal components. GE and Whirlpool specifically advise against this in their manuals to maintain proper airflow and safety.

5. Test the Oven Temperature for Accuracy Use an oven thermometer to verify that the internal temperature matches your setpoint. If it’s consistently off by more than 10–15 degrees, your LG or Samsung range may need a simple calibration through the control settings.

Oven Not Heating A failed bake element, blown thermal fuse, or faulty igniter can prevent the oven from reaching the desired temperature. Whirlpool and GE models often experience this issue when the heating element wears out or the igniter weakens over time.

Uneven Cooking or Baking This problem is usually caused by a malfunctioning convection fan, temperature sensor, or miscalibrated control board. Frigidaire and Samsung convection ovens may struggle with even heat distribution when the fan motor or sensor fails.

Oven Won’t Turn On A blown fuse, faulty electronic control board, or bad power supply can stop the oven from powering on entirely. LG and KitchenAid models often require a control board reset or replacement when unresponsive.

Broiler Not Working A defective broil element or relay on the control board may prevent the upper heating element from functioning. GE and Frigidaire ovens commonly need element or wiring replacements to restore broiling capability.

Oven Door Not Closing Properly Broken hinges, worn door springs, or bent door frames can prevent a tight seal, leading to heat loss. Whirlpool and Samsung ovens often show signs of this after repeated heavy use or slamming.

Oven Light Not Working A burned-out bulb, faulty door switch, or damaged light socket can cause the oven interior light to fail. LG and KitchenAid models sometimes require disassembly of the control panel to access and replace faulty light wiring.

Self-Clean Function Not Operating The self-clean cycle may fail to start due to a faulty door lock motor, temperature sensor, or control board malfunction. GE and Frigidaire ovens often display error codes when the door fails to lock for cleaning.

Error Codes on Display Error messages often point to issues with the temperature sensor, control board, or keypad. Samsung and LG ovens frequently require sensor recalibration or board replacement when codes like F1, F3, or E-27 appear.

Oven Taking Too Long to Preheat Sluggish preheating can be caused by a failing bake element, damaged igniter, or poor insulation. KitchenAid and Whirlpool models sometimes experience long preheat times when voltage supply or control settings are faulty.

Oven Keeps Tripping the Circuit Breaker Short circuits in the control board, exposed heating element wiring, or a faulty power cord can cause the breaker to trip. Frigidaire and GE ovens are more prone to this if internal components are exposed to moisture or grease buildup.
